To achieve a satisfactory result, your assessor will be looking for your ability to demonstrate the following key skills/tasks/knowledge to an acceptable industry standard:

You are required to undertake planning processes to develop one (1) Operational Plan and three (3) Resource Plans for at least one (1) business or workplace. You may use your own workplace, or that of simulated company SIM Co.

Scenario
Superior Implements (SIM Co) was founded, by Peter Falconi, a top-notch chef, on the 13th of August 2007, and has grown to be Australia’s leading manufacture of quality professional chef tools. After years of successful operation in NSW, and increasing business in the Northern state, SIM Co established a manufacturing plant in Queensland, at Lytton, Brisbane to better service this market, further relocating the Corporate Headquarters to Milton, Brisbane.
Sales results over the past five (5) years have indicated strong growth in commercial cooking appliances and catering equipment, with an average of 10% sales growth per annum. SIM Co’s wishes to expand their business through establishing a new wholesale outlet in Adelaide within the next 12 months.
The new outlet will include:
? A showroom for customers to view and select products (chef tools such as knives, cookware, utensils and gadgets). Offering a diverse selection of products to suit various culinary needs and preferences.
? Logistics and distribution service area to ensure timely delivery of orders to customers.
? You have been hired as the Outlet Manager to oversee the set up and operation of the new site.
