Unit Learning Outcomes
This assignment focuses on the three ‘Unit Learning Outcome (ULO)’ of this unit. These are:
1. Utilize a range of cloud computing tools and technologies to design and analyse cloud computing systems.
2. Evaluate the characteristics and applications of cloud-based and non-cloud solutions to discuss potential benefits, risks and peculiarities from a technical and non-technical perspective.
3. Evaluate given requirements and select the most appropriate cloud technology to solve given computing problems.
The assessment of this assignment will indicate whether you can partially attain these 3 outcomes.
Assessment
• As stated in the unit guide, each successful student must achieve all unit learning outcomes (ULOs).
• The percentage breakdown of each ULO across the four summative assessment tasks, and the overall percentage weighting of each ULO are specified in the following table. A weighting value in a row is the sum of percentages within that row. For example, ULO2 is assessed in Task 2, Task 3 and Task 4 (10%, 4% and 20% respectively), and 34% of marks for this unit are available from ULO2.
Task 1 Task 2 Task 3 Task 4 Overall Weighting
ULO1 20 10 30
ULO2 10 4 20 34
ULO3 6 30 36
• As indicated in the above table, the assessment of Task 2 relates to ULO2, and provides you with the possibility of obtaining up to 10 of the 34 marks associated with ULO2.
Instructions
• This is an individual task.
• Place your name, ID and sign the coversheet and attach it to your document. Please note that MS Word (docx) or PDF files must be submitted via Deakin College Portal • Each student is required to complete a written report.
• Your written report should not exceed 1500 words, excluding the references section.
• Place your name and IDs in the document containing your written report
• Use the IEEE referencing style to correctly cite and create a section containing references.
• It is imperative that you read the following Deakin resource regarding the IEEE referencing style http://www.deakin.edu.au/students/study-support/referencing.
