This assessment task consists of one (1) observation task.
You are to be observed by your assessor in leading one (1) communication process where you are required to:
? Interview key stakeholders to gather their input and insights. Ask open-ended questions to understand their expectations and requirements.
? Identify operational requirements including staffing needs, inventory management, technology infrastructure and logistical considerations.
? Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact the new outlet’s success and establish risk management processes.
? Develop an action plan that outlines the steps required to address the identified needs and objectives.
Students may:?

? access the services of Studiosity to assist in interpreting questions or proof-reading text?

Role Play:
The task can be role played by a colleagues, classmates or other persons that can interact and respond accordingly.

Video Streaming / Recording:
You are required to confirm your identity at the commencement of the video by displaying your photo ID and confirming your name and student ID number.
For video recording you are also required to gain consent from any participant who is NOT a TAFE Queensland student.

This assessment is to be completed in a workplace or a closely simulated workplace environment.
This task includes activities which require you to demonstrate practical and communication skills which need to be observed by your Assessor.
Class mates, colleagues or other adults who understand the task can play the roles of workplace personnel as required.
These skills and activities can be demonstrated and observed in any one of three ways:

Number of Attempts:
You will receive up to two (2) attempts at this assessment task. Should your 1st attempt be unsatisfactory (U), your teacher will provide feedback and will arrange a date for your 2nd attempt. If your 2nd attempt is unsatisfactory (U), or you fail to attend on the date scheduled for the 2nd attempt, you will receive an overall unsatisfactory result for this assessment task. Only one re-assessment attempt may be granted for each assessment task. For more information, refer to the Student Rules.
Assessment Criteria:
To achieve a satisfactory result, your assessor will be looking for your ability to demonstrate the key skills/tasks/knowledge detailed in the Observation Checklist to an acceptable industry standard.
Instructions to Assessor The students will demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to lead one (1) communication process where they are required to:

Work Health and Safety:

Part B – Consult with stakeholders
This assessment activity is a natural extension to your previously completed activities.
You are to be observed by your assessor in leading one (1) consultation meeting where you are required to:
? Interview key stakeholders to gather their input and insights. Ask open-ended questions to understand their expectations and requirements.
? Identify operational requirements including staffing needs, inventory management, technology infrastructure and logistical considerations.
? Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact the new outlet’s success and establish risk management processes.
? Develop an action plan that outlines the steps required to address the identified needs and objectives.
? Your assessor must observe this observation either in class, online or via video recording. (If using a web conferencing platform such as Zoom, other participants must have cameras on.)
? This observation must involve two (2) other people, performing the role of your team members.
? Before commencing your observation, have all meeting materials and any relevant workplace procedures available so that you can reference them throughout your session.
? Summarise the key takeaways from the meeting and outline any immediate next steps or actions that team members should take in response to the budget and plans.
