Uploading your assessment
Essentially when you upload to Moodie, your assessment is in ‘draft' and checked for
similarity via Turn-it-in (see below). Based on this result, you may want to make some adjustments to your assessment and reupload. While in ‘draft', you can upload over it up until the due date. Once you have the final version, and by the due date, you MUST ensure that you 'submit for marking'.
The Use of Turn-it-in
When you submit your assessment online you also submit it to -Turn It In- a copy detection program. Copying is the intentional use of someone else’s ideas, words or concepts in your assessment submission. It is considered serious misconduct at university and should be avoided at all times.
Do not try to copy parts of the assessment directly from the web or from a fellow student/previous student/ student from another institution etc as your assessment will be identified as a copied assessment by -Turn It In-. If you do reuse or cite the internet, journal articles or your fellow student or another student or other source
then it must be referenced appropriately. Ensure you are aware of the referencing guidelines and plagiarism policy.
Do not share your assessment with other students; again any similar assessment will be identified as a copied assessment by “Turn It In ’.
Be aware of the Plagiarism policy.
