The social or ecological determinants of health are the ways in which elements of the social, economic, and physical environments interact with individual biological factors and behaviours and shape the health status of individuals, families, communities and nations. These social determinants of health (SDoH) have been presented via various frameworks- See Figures 1 and 2.

For this report, identify ONE population group at increased risk of experiencing health and social inequities and inequalities due to COVID -19. Your short report must be structured under clear subheadings (Introduction, Discussion, Conclusion, References). It must also be properly researched, and thoroughly referenced (with in-text citations and a reference list at the end).

Question 3:
The policy and the policy development process are inherently political. Policy development is not circular, let alone linear. Rather policy development is a web of interconnected actions, influences, and outcomes. Policy-making on a government level very complex as it includes many actors and processes. These stages of policy development “sometimes occur simultaneously, sometimes appear in inverse order and are sometimes rapidly skirted” as seen in the Figure below.

Australia has been a world leader in using 'healthy public policy approaches' such as road safety policies and legislations to address road traffic accidents. Over the past 40 years, there have been numerous policy developments around road safety that have helped to reduce fatalities and injuries on our roads.
