• The roles of the Operations Manager will be played by trainer/assessor.
• Other roles will be allocated to the students by the trainer/assessor.

Project task:
This assessment task requires the student to carefully analyse the information given in the “Simulated business case study – North Wharf”. All further scenarios and activities will be based on this simulated business case.
Scenario:
North Wharf is committed to evaluating the performance of its employees, identify the reasons for underperformance and provide coaching to them.
Recently management conducted an annual formal performance review and identified that the organisation is facing some performance issues. After analysing the underperformance of the employees, management has identified several reasons:
• Inability to achieve performance targets.
• Communication barriers.
• Inability to achieve work/life balance
• Employees participation in decision making.
• Teamwork issues.
• Lateness, absenteeism, leaving without permission.
To manage the underperformance and increase the skills base of the employees, management has decided to provide coaching. To do so, they want a coaching strategy and coaching program in place that can help with the following:

Activity 2: Obtain organisational support for a coaching strategy

Activity 4: Induct, match and brief coaches and trainees
In this activity, you are required to induct, match and brief coaches and trainees selected in the recruitment process. Your trainer/assessor will provide you with information regarding the location where the task is to be carried out.
The induction is to be carried out in accordance with the induction and training package developed in Activity 4 – Assessment task 2.
You need to perform the following:

Scenario:
The coaching strategy has been implemented. The coaches are providing coaching to the employees and the team members.
The management has asked you to monitor its implementation. They have asked you to monitor the performance of coaches in the implementation of coaching strategy.
As an HR Manager, you have asked the coaches to the employees the following:
Coach 1:
• To provide coaching to the team members on working effectively in a team.
