High levels of plagiarism
Owing to the high levels of plagiarism in the proposals that we have received previously, a decision was made that all MET101 students will have to put their proposal through TURNITIN (similarity programme).
We will upload a video and link on how to do the submission.
When you submit your proposal, you have to attach the TURNITIN report, indicating your level of similarity (not the electronic receipt). The maximum similarity that you can have is 20% and not more than 5% per single source. If it is higher than 20%, you will fail the proposal.
If you do not attach the report (not digital receipt), your proposal will not be assessed.
You are required to compile a RESEARCH PROPOSAL in respect of either your workplace or major subject research you want to undertake. Refer to the section -Guidelines on proposal writing- following this section.
1. REQUIREMENTS OF THE RESEARCH PROPOSAL
1.1 The Research Proposal must be typed in MS Word format, 12 Arial font and 1.5-line spacing. The typed Research Proposal must consist of eight (8) pages.
1.2 You do not have to submit any other assignment. Each of the sections should have a length proportionate to that of the other sections.
1.3 Selection of topic
You have to identify a POSSIBLE RESEARCH TOPIC IN ANY OF THE SUBJECT AREAS IN THE FIELD OF MANAGEMENT/MANAGEMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT ISSUES.
