Type Presentation Description Students are to prepare and submit a PowerPoint presentation with narration.
The PowerPoint presentation with narration is to be developed as a mental health education resource to be used in helping people living with a mental illness to better understand the nature of their illness and the evidence-based interventions used to treat it.
The presentation must also provide evidence of your developing understanding of the principles of recovery oriented mental health practice.
The presentation is to comprise up to seven (7) slides (e.g. 1 x title slide, 5 x content slides, 1 x references slide). The narration is to be no longer than 10 minutes duration (in total).
Provide the text of your narration under the slides (presenter notes). Ensure you address your presentation to the target audience of consumers.
A single mental health topic from the following list is to be addressed in the PowerPoint presentation withnarration:1.
Helping a person who is soon to be discharged from an adult mental health inpatient unit to develop a relapse prevention plan for major depressive disorder.2.Helping a person living with schizophrenia who has recently been prescribed a second-generation antipsychotic medication to develop a medication adherence plan.
