Written Assessments
Written assessment tasks are used to measure your understanding and underpinning knowledge of the overall unit of competency. While undertaking any written assessment tasks, please ensure that you type the following criteria in the space provide in the columns:

Assessment Results
The result of each task will be either ‘satisfactory’ or ‘not satisfactory’. If unsatisfactory, you will be given the opportunity for reassessment. Unsatisfactory written assessments will be returned to you for resubmission.
Competency outcome
Once you have satisfactorily completed all the tasks for this unit you will be awarded “Competent” (C) or “Not yet Competent” (NYC) for the relevant unit of competency.

Assessment appeals process
If you feel that you have been unfairly treated during your assessment, and you are not happy with your assessment and/or the outcome as a result of that treatment, you have the right to lodge an appeal. You must first discuss the issue with your trainer/assessor. If you would like to proceed further with the request after discussions with your trainer/assessor, you need to lodge your appeal, in writing, outlining the reason(s) for the appeal.

Scenario1: Gateway Business College
Gateway Business College (GBC) being one of the leading vocational colleges started few years back, offering an experience in delivering Vocational education in IT and Business fields in the international arena. At this stage, College wishes to establish an electronic system maintaining information about students, enrolment, courses, and teachers. In current scenario, the whole system is managed manually or in worksheet using Excel, so it may cause the duplication. The whole process of maintaining student information is a time consuming. Administration is interested to reduce duplication, time, and a user-friendly software system. Analyse the current system and introducing new business model by applying given task in the given order. You are required to prepare a report on new business model to improve the business processes by analysing existing business model, ICT needs with strategic direction and covering all the following tasks.
Student must have to read the copyright policy from the GBC website to know how to handle the student information. Document must follow the documentation standard ISO/IEC/AS (Sample template provided in course resources drive) e.g. title page and abstract. (Report should not be more than 7 pages)

Bazaar Ceramics has a wide range of products to meet the needs of clients both nationally and internationally. The studio produces exquisite one off sculptural pieces for the individual and corporate collector. These pieces can be found in board rooms, international hotels and private homes as far away as the US and Germany.
Bazaar Ceramics Studio has been operating for 20 years. Starting as a small collective, operating in the picturesque township of Hahndorf, South Australia - known for its quality arts and crafts. Over the years the studio has passed through a number of transformations.
In the first 7 years of its existence - as a co-operative, it was well known for producing quality domestic ware and fine individually designed art pieces.
At this stage, Company wishes to establish an electronic system maintaining information about products, customer orders, inventory, delivery and payments. Identify new business process, analysing existing business models and select new business model that improve the business process and determine appropriate ICT strategies and solutions direction of the company to the 21st Century.
Read the case study as Bazaar Ceramics and answer the following question on Task1. You can also use your place of business but need to get approval by trainer prior to answering the questions.
Using the Context of Bazaar Ceramics or Gateway business college or others, answer the following Questions:
