Task 1: Structural Analysis of 4 Storey Apartments
A 4-storey apartment are proposed to be built in Lami Town. Building composed of a 100 mm thick slab cast monolithically with stiff (400mm x 250mm) beams are spaced (centre-to-centre) as shown in Figure 1 supported by (300mm x 300mm) columns. You are as group to perform the below task.
I. Use any Structural Analysis Methods or refer to AS 3600 (Sections 6 – Methods of Structural Analysis), determine the Shear Force, Bending Moment & Reaction on each beam at Level 1.

II. Use any Structural Software’s, determine the Shear Force, Bending Moment & Reaction on each beam at Level 1.

Additional Data:
• The density of the concrete can be taken as 2400 kg/m3.
• Use FD (Loading -W) = 12G +1.5Q
• Ignore the self-weight of the Beams
• Assume all Slabs being landed to the beam at One Way concept.
