Purpose: To allow students to begin to apply the knowledge and skills of the subject to a real world example.
Value: 30% Due Date: Week 11 – 5:00 pm Friday.
Topic: Logistics Case Study.
Prepare a 3500 + 10% word report (executive summary, table of contents body, conclusions and recommendations) analysing the issues in the supply chain of Zara, and identify logistics management strategies that enabled the company to become successful, and/or will be necessary for the company to maintain/improve its success in the future. Specific issues to address include the seven principles of supply chain management at the end of the case study and any conclusions to be drawn will useful in the recommendations section.
Research
Students need to support their analysis with reference from the text and Requirements: minimum of eight (8-12) suitable, reliable, current and academically acceptable sources – check with your tutor if unsure of the validity of sources. If seeking Credit or above grades should support their analysis with increased number of reference sources comparable to the grade they are seeking.
