Method/s of assessment This is a written assessment.
Overview of assessment This assessment task is designed to assess your knowledge of managing the work health and safety (WHS) implications of using contractors.
Task/s to be assessed This assessment task will require you to answer twelve (12) questions.
Time allowed You should refer to the study plan within Learn for assessment due dates. Final submission for all assessments in this unit is the end of the study period.
Location of assessment This assessment task will be provided online and will be completed in your workplace or simulated workplace environment.
Decision making rules All questions within this assessment task must be answered. The outcome of this assessment task will be Satisfactory or Not Satisfactory.
Assessment conditions • You must answer all questions using your own words.
• There is no minimum word count for the length of your responses. However, at this level of study, you are expected to research and explain your point, the process and techniques you used, address all parts of the question, and reflect on the experiences you gained. One sentence responses are rarely able to provide sufficient detail and are, therefore, unacceptable.
• You have two attempts to complete this assessment task.
• If you need to re-attempt any of the assessment tasks in this unit, your Lecturer will give you clear and direct feedback.

Resources required No additional assessment booklets are required. However, you are encouraged to refer to your learning resources (Learn site) for additional information and support.
Result notification and reassessment information You will be advised of the outcome of your assessment approximately two weeks after the due date of this assessment task. If your assessment task is submitted after this date, via an approved extension, your assessment will be marked within approximately two weeks of submission
For online submissions you will be provided feedback via the feedback function within Learn, which will generate a notification sent to your student email account.
If you are required to re-attempt this assessment task, you will be allowed two weeks to address the corrections unless otherwise negotiated with your lecturer.
Files uploaded to Learn must be saved with a file name that clearly indicates the document pertains to a resubmission; for example: “UnitCode_DocumentName_StudentName_Attempt2”
