Assessment instructions
The purpose of this assessment is to identify, explain and compare management and leadership concepts used within a specific company. The second part of the question will research and explain the importance of a collaborative working environment within the chosen business and its industry relevance. Relevant management theory is to be used and connected to researched examples from chosen company to support the suitability of these concepts within the specific business industry and today's business world.
The company chosen must be operating within the industry of your chosen discipline of study (e.g. Events, Sport, Hospitality, Business, etc.).
The assessment will be submitted as a Business Report.
The findings of the report will include:
1. Select 2 of the following concepts that are relevant to your chosen company. Provide examples and discuss suitability of the company's management of these concepts assessed against the theory discussed in lecture (and from your own research). Compare and/or support the relevance of these behaviours in today's Business world.

2. Explain how effective your chosen company’s management is in creating a collaborative working environment. Describe any issues and provide recommendations for improvement OR alternately highlight the company’s strengths in this area. Outline the benefits of creating a collaborative working environment for both the management and the company.
The assessment will use formatted and layout as described for a Business Report in the ICMS Style Guide.
Research information must be paraphrased (written in your own words) and intext referenced APA style as described in the ICMS Style Guide. Reference list required. Minimum of four credible academic or business references.
