Assessment 1 (Group Report and Presentation on a Legal
Week 4
Case Relating to Business Law)
In this assessment, students will work in groups to:
- identify a recent legal case relating to business law. Cases will be suggested by lecturers, but student groups are to make their own choice of legal case.
- prepare a group report about their chosen legal case that is supported by relevant literature (i.e. court reports, newspaper articles, journal articles etc). The report should focus on the legal and ethical issues raised in their chosen case. Submission of this written component is required via the link on Moodle.
- prepare and record a short oral presentation (5-10mins) on the key findings of their group report. Students may use appropriate tools (e.g. PowerPoint) for their presentation. Submission of this presentation is by emailing a Google Drive link to their lecturer (pdivisek@macleay.edu.au)
Workload: Written component: 1200-1500 words per group
