PROJECT PAPER FOR
ISLAMIC Banking Practices (Online)
June 2019
Introduction
Completion of the group assignment is a partial requirement of completing the course in Islamic banking practices. This is a group assignment. Learners are expected to research and write the project paper on topics related to Islamic Banking Practices. In researching for the topic and in the process of preparing for the project paper, learners are expected to 'discover' and 'review' relevant literature related to Islamic banking practices.
Skills Development: writing, independent learning, library and online research, team working and building lifelong learning process.
Things Need To Be Observed:
1. Type of Assignment: Individual assignment
2. Online Submission: July 22, 2018
3. All submission must be via MLMS. Submission via email will not be accepted as proof of submission. Turnitin needs at least 24-hours to provide the Similarity Report, thus please submit your Assignment 24-hour before the due date.
4. Acceptable Benchmark: not more than 30%. If your Turnitin similarity report is higher than 30%, please rewrite and resubmit until you reach 30%.
5. Please allow at least 24 hours for Turnitin to generate the Similarity Report. Thus, please submit earlier than the actual date. The Turnitin facility is embedded within the LMS platform.
6. Extension: No extension permitted. Late submission will result in reduction in marks (1 day – 10%, 2 – 4 days – 15%, 5 days – 30%.
7. Plagiarism: At all time, candidates are governed by the appropriate Policies on Academic Dishonesty.
8. Non-Submission: This will result in -0- out of 30 maximum mark;
9. Style Guide: Please 12 times new roman, 1.15 line spacing and normal a4 margins;
10. Length: ~ 15 to 30 pages per pages as the Style Guide in (9) above.

• write one project paper (15) pages long, per style-guide provided;
• familiarize themselves with INCEIF’s plagiarism & other academic dishonesty policies, thus please acknowledge all cited works accordingly in the references, per the Style Guide.

5. Financing working capital The paper should:
• Introduce the product theoretically and from Shariah perspective.
• Explain how the product is provided by Islamic banks in Malaysia in terms of: the underlying Shariah contract, features, pricing mechanism, cost, documentation.
• Describing the main risks associated with the product and the tools to manage these risks.
• Investigate the process of providing the product, and what are the procedures taken in default or delay in repayment cases.
• Compare the product in 4 Islamic banks in Malaysia in terms of features and price.
• Compare it with conventional products in Malaysian banks in terms of features and price.
• Compare it with similar product in Islamic banks in GCC countries in terms of underlying shariah contract and features.
• Compare it with similar fintech product inside or outside Malaysia (if available).
• Recommendations for development the product.
