Recent Question/Assignment

The class test covers topics 1 to 4 (up to Costs of Production) and is in the format of multiple choice questions and/or short answers. The test is in one (1) hour and will be held in Week 4 as per the advice of your respective Lecturer. You must take the test in the designated time and venue unless a Special Consideration is officially given.
Group Assignment
Form a group of 4 to 5 students and submit your group details (Students ID, contact number, email ID and your intended topic) to your lecturer no later than Week 3. Failure to do so will exclude you from being able to submit your work.
Your lecturer will allocate you a group number and your group details will be entered on BB. Only 1 submission per group is required.
The group assignment has a word limit of 2500 and is in report form. It is due at 5pm on the Friday of Week 6. Late submissions will be processed as per Holmes' regulations as outlined in page 7.
You are required to choose a topic from the following list. Consult your lecturer if you need more details about each topic.
1. Discuss Australian GDP components and economic growth during the last 10 years. Which industries have the highest growth and what are the main drivers for that growth? Analyse Australian Government major policies to promote economic growth during that period.
2. Industry reforms in the Agriculture Industry in Australia during the last 10 years and its impact on Australian economic growth.
3. Demand and Supply of any natural resources in Australia and their impacts on Australian Economy.
4. Impacts of the 2008 global financial crisis (GFC) on Australia and how did Australian government use macroeconomic policies to stabilise the economy.
Final Exam
The final exam covers all topics in the unit. It has a duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes and is held during the
exam week.
