You are a valuable member of a new project team for a marketing company who is developing an advertising campaign for a fresh line of products. The success of the project will depend on the team’s ability to work together, brainstorm ideas, communicate effectively and meet deadlines to deliver an innovative campaign on budget.
a. Set at least six (6) ground rules for your team to follow that allows for creativity.
b. When allocating or sharing responsibilities within the team, it is important to be transparent, inclusive, fair and equitable. What does this mean?

Task 2. Major project – Innovation Challenge
Description
ILSC College has announced that it is “Going Green”. Your goal is to work in a team (up to 5 students) and come up with ideas for ILSC to become more environmentally friendly.
Instructions
To complete the project, you will be undertaking the following activities as part of a team. Activity 1: Pitch yourself & Gain feedback- Make a pitch to prove you are a valuable member of the team.
Activity 2: Team meeting – Participate in a meeting and take meeting minutes. Activity 3: Brainstorming Session – Take a walk through the ILSC campus and have a brainstorming session to collect ideas on environmental and sustainable practices. Activity 4: Work Plan - Develop work plans.

Activity 1: Pitch yourself
To pitch yourself, known in the corporate world as an “Elevator Pitch” you will deliver a speech to your team that convinces them you have the skills and experiences to undertake the innovation challenge.
The appropriately named “elevator pitch” is a brief, convincing introduction about you, that can be communicated in approximately 3 minutes. Your pitch will need to include:

Activity 2: Team meeting
You will be participating in an innovation team meeting to discuss topics and make decisions according to the agenda below. You are required to take “notes” during the meeting and type up the minutes using the template in Moodle “Unit resources” and attach to your assessment before submission.
During the meeting your trainer/assessor will be observing and assessing your required skills according to the checklist on page 3 of your assessment.

To undertake the brainstorming session, you will be participating in a “walk through” of the ILSC campus to identify the environmental areas for improvement. You may decide to take photos to assist your team to collaborate on ideas. Your trainer can take you into areas that you do not normally access. e.g. print/store room etc.
