Apply self-management to intermediate level coaching
Project
This assessment requires you to have access to a sport-specific training, competition setting or environment, the method of assessment will require you to conduct and produce the following:
1. A portfolio containing written reports or diaries, evidence or documentation of oral reports, relevant paperwork and analysis of feedback where required, if you work currently within the sports coaching field you will have to produce any feedback from current work and the scenario in which this was undertaken.
OR
2. You are required to provide third-party reports from support personnel detailing coaching professional development.
You have to show the following:
• Reflect on own performance and career objectives related to coaching to inform the professional development plan
• Critically analyse own performance using available technology and equipment to identify areas for improvement
• Demonstrate understanding of role within sport structure and behaviours expected of a coach

Assessment 1 SISXIND410 Coordinate sport, fitness and recreation work teams or groups.
Scenario
You have just been appointed as a Team Coordinator for a sport and fitness recreational centre in a new country town. The area has limited access to sporting facilities, and the council has now opened up a new facility which will help many children and families in the area, as well as older adults, and people interested in joining a sporting and recreational groups.
Part A - Research Portfolio (20 marks).
Your new role a Team Coordinator will be to facilitate various groups/group that the recreational centre has to offer and manage and facilitate as well as comply with all standards that are necessary within the industry. You will also be required to understand the required skills and knowledge so you can deliver your job according to work practises. (Provide examples where possible) (Provide examples where possible). You are to document and write down the day to day running of your role (Daily Diary) and what is included. PART B (20 marks)
You are required to analyse your work environment (it can also be your college or school) to identify hazards and assess related risks.
You will need to fill out the WHS inspection and risk assessment template provided and submit a copy to your trainer for evidence.
PART C (20 marks)
Using the work health and safety records from the previous task (Part B), you are required:
1. to write a report of your findings to be submitted to your trainer as evidence. (10)
(In case you have no findings about safety, you are required to create, document and submit to your trainer, a hazardous good or substance handling procedure and also an emergency procedure (e.g. evacuation procedure) of your workplace/college.)
2. For one of the identified inadequacies above, write a recommendation to the management of staff suggesting a method to improve this area. (10)
In your letter make sure you identify the issue you found, explain why it is an issue/risk/hazard and then provide your suggestion how to improve this issue, including possible staff training required.
If no issue was found, write the recommendation letter explaining the risk assessment and inspection process you went through and that you have no findings to report.
