Recent Question/Assignment

Dear

At the completion of each study period, a Board of Examiners meets to determine the academic status of each student. At the recent Board of Examiners you received a Fail grade for EDP220 Behaviour Management. This letter is to advise you that you have been offered a supplementary task.

Your task:

All answers need to be supported with evidence of material covered in the Behaviour Management unit. Please refer to the behaviour management models covered in the unit where appropriate. Include correct APA(6) referencing.

Question 1
Explain Edwards and Watts (2008) taxonomy of classroom management theories, and the potential to inform the early development of classroom management theory and practice.

Question 2
‘An eclectic approach to preventing management difficulty will always be better than adopting one theoretical framework as a guide to classroom practice.’
Identify an argument that could be made opposing and an argument supporting this statement.

Question 3
Explain how you would prevent the following misbehaviours: speaking out of turn, teasing, and physical bullying.

Question 4
Give an example of establishing baseline behaviour.

This must be submitted by 5.00 p.m. (WA standard time) Monday 30th December, 2013 to the unit coordinator Polly Farmer via email Polly.Farmer@curtin.edu.au Please make sure the subject line contains the following text: Supplementary Task SP3 EDP220.

If you choose not to submit your supplementary task, or you fail your supplementary task, your Fail grade will remain on your academic transcript and you will need to repeat the unit. It is important that you realise that this may jeopardise the completion of the course within the stipulated time frame.

Yours sincerely
