“ERP Systems in the Cloud”
There has been significant media attention and hype about the potential of cloud technologies. ERP Systems vendors are offering cloud based versions of ERP Systems. Companies are faced with increasing pressure to investigate the potential of these cloud based offerings. They soon realise that there is a variety of models for cloud based ERP systems, each with their strengths and weaknesses. Management have become aware that you are studying ERP Systems at Victoria University and have given you the task to prepare a research paper on potential cloud offerings, benefits and risks.
Discuss the statement above using case study examples (from literature searches) to demonstrate different company’s experiences.
Your task is produce a 3000 - 4000 word research paper which discusses the issues relating to the above. The paper should demonstrate a depth and breadth of reading and should be appropriately referenced. The paper should be referenced using the Harvard referencing standards and formatted according to the approved style guide.
Your essay must include:
Assignment Cover Page: Use the cover sheet provided. Include the Title, Assignment number, Student Name and Number and Subject.
Introduction: Introduction to the topic, a statement of the purpose of the paper and a brief description of the paper’s structure.
Body: Discuss, compare and/or contrast different perspectives, present arguments supporting the purpose of the paper.
Conclusion: A summary of the points you have made in the body of the paper. These should match your stated purpose.
Reference list: A Harvard style reference list.
The footer must include your name, student ID, and page number.
You must visit for some general help on academic writing especially the sections on ‘writing an introduction’ and ‘answering the question’.
Submission:
Your paper must be submitted via the VU Collaborate in pdf format. Name your file for assignment 3 in the form s3999999Assn3.pdf and where the 39999999 is replaced by your student number.
Your paper must follow the formatting and layout standards specified for this subject and must also use the Harvard Referencing System.
You must include references to demonstrate research relating to the discussion and analysis. You should aim to paraphrase sources where possible, writing the report in your own words and including citations and corresponding reference list entries to demonstrate research where appropriate. Your report will automatically be submitted to Turnitin.com and you will provided with originality percentage. Note that you can resubmit your report up until the submission deadline. Initial originality results are returned within minutes. Resubmission results can take up to twenty four hours to process.
Turnitin scores higher than 20% will be heavily penalised.
